I've gotten every one of my companies funded by Angels, VCs, grants, or a combination of the above, in most cases raising over $1M in under 1-2 months with a basic MVP. Fundraising can be extremely frustrating - let's make it less so.
My Model
Hourly billing sucks. Most consultants bill hourly, which incentivizes them to drag the project out and allows avoiding committing to delivering actual results. I do things differently.

Initial
Meeting
We start with a brief, focused, 30-minute call where I mostly listen and ask questions. I am very selective about who I work with and never engage more than 5 founders at the same time.
Outcome: I either know with 100% certainty that I can help, or recommend someone who can.

Setting
OKRs
I carefully analyze your startup and set specific, measurable Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) that will move the needle for you, and a timeframe to do so in. Measurable positive ROI is a must here.
Outcome: OKRs are clear. My pay is tied to achieving these, so I am highly motivated to deliver :)

Establishing
Cadence
Depending on the OKRs and the specifics of our project, I either act as a coach to guide you, work with you, or even do it for you. The point is, I'll do my work without distracting you from your other goals.
Outcome: weekly cadence is established, and you have 24/7 access to my expertise as well.

Achieving
Results
Once we reach previously set OKRs (usually set monthly or even quarterly for scaling-stage startups), we define new OKRs until you no longer need my help - I make sure to never overstay my welcome.
Outcome: your challenges are solved and your startup is well on its way to becoming a unicorn.
After it's all said and done, I don't drop off the map either. I've built a growing community of founders that work, have fun and share knowledge with each other; plus I'm always there to help in any way I can, often staying as an informal advisor to my clients.
